Pedro Sa-Couto holds a degree in Mathematics Applied to Technology, a
Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, and a PhD in Biomedical
Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Mathematics (DMAT) at the University of Aveiro
(UA). In addition, he is a member of the Probability and Statistics Group
(PSG) and collaborates on the thematic lines of Biomathematics (BioMath) and Mathematics: Teaching and Assessment in
Higher Education (MATEAS), part of the Center for Research and Development in
Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA). He is also a collaborator at the
Clinical Simulation Center (SIMULA) of the University of Aveiro. His research
interests include statistical methods applied to health and medical research,
innovative teaching methodologies in statistics education, and mathematical
modeling of physiological systems for educational simulation. He has also
contributed to numerous papers in international scientific journals,
presentations at scientific conferences, and book chapters. |
