Home Work

This home work is to perform during the next classes.

Lab Work

In this lab work the students have a first contact with the Software Defined Radio kit USRP 1 from Ettus. During this lab work the students are asked to create a radio system using Matlab / Simulink to perform the following tasks:

  1. Spectral analysis in the frequencies around 2.45GHz
  2. Identify one of the following modulations of the signal
    1. BPSK
    2. QPSK

The students must send the Matlab code that allows to identify each one of the modulations. The explanations can be in the form of comments along with the code or in a separate report.

Final Work

For the final Lab Work, the students must choose a topic in the area of software defined radio and write a 4 pages report using the IEEE two column template, and a perform a 10minute presentation with 5 more minutes to questions. The presentation must have a maximum of 10 slides.

The report must be sent before the end of the day 26 of March to the email jnvieira@ua.pt.
The presentations will be held at IT on 28 of March at 10h00.

Proposed topics for the Final Work
