The University of Aveiro held a open week November 20-25th. The Physics exhibition, featuring hands-on experiments on mechanics, thermodynamics, solid state physics and electricity, was particularly popular amongst secondary school and college students. See video here.

Alexandra Carvalho was awarded tone of the Research Stimulation Prizes (Prémio de Estímulo à Investigação 2010) by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, for her work in the subject of doping of nanostructures. This award received media coverage contributing to a dissemination of our research to the local community.
