I was born in Ilhavo, Portugal, in 1968. A small town by the sea, a town of sailors. The ocean, the sky, have always been in my dreams. I'm a Civil Engineer.
I'm a professor of Civil Engineering at University of Aveiro. Teach, research, design, management. Structural design. Concrete, timber, equations, finite elements.
I believe in poetry. The poetry of images, music, sculpture, nature, gestures, people, numbers, equations... We just need the right eyes.
I love to take photos. They can distort reality and show a personal perspective of the world.
