In my final
project from my degree I had the first real contact with
thermodynamics and phase modelling in a project where I measured
solubility data of sugars in water-alcohol solutions. Later I
used Uniquaq models to model the experimental data. In March
2000 started a PhD in the Technical University of Delft, in the
Netherlands, on modelling high pressure phase diagrams. During
my PhD I moved my knowledge in experimental phase boundary
determination to a higher level. I measured solid-fluid and
liquid-vapor data at pressures that reached 2000bar for methane
plus heavy alkanes systems, both binary and ternary. After the
gathering of the data, these data was modeled using equations of
state.
After a rest
period of my thermodynamics studies I joined the Path Group at
the University of Aveiro. Here I shell bring a more insight in
the field of thermal conductivities and in the field of new
thermal materials.
