Welcome to my home page. Here you will find some information about my research, teaching
activities and professional
experience. My research interests include international macro,
economic development and the Portuguese Economy. Currently, I am at Universidade de Aveiro. As part of my professional
experience, I worked as a Director at the Gabinete de Estratégia e Estudos
of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, as a consultant at Banco de Portugal and in different short
term projects, including of technical
assistance. You'll find some information on my experience with former
centrally planned economies in my transition page. I enjoy writing on economic
policy in different forms, including non-technical articles. For articles
