FPGA-based development system
Includes:
1. Prototyping core board with FPGA XC3S400-4PQ208C of the Xilinx Spartan 3 family (developed by Manuel Almeida). The board supports two interfaces for uploading bitstreams and interactions, which are wired (USB) and wireless (Bluetooth). Additional information is available in publication 1 (in English), in user manual (in English and in Portuguese), in the report 2 (in Portuguese) and in the following supplementary material in Portuguese: VGA-Keyboard-Mouse extension; pins of mini board for mouse). Photo of the core board is available here.
2. Software called Prototyping Board Manager (PBM) (developed by Bruno Pimentel). Additional information is available in publication 1 (in English), in user manual (in English and in Portuguese). Basic functions of PBM are illustrated here. Software is available here.
3. Extension boards mainly designed by students of electronics and telecommunications curricula of Aveiro University within mini-projects for evaluation of the discipline entitled "Reconfigurable Digital Systems". Information about extension boards is available here.
4. Design templates, design libraries and IP cores. Additional information is available in publication 1 and here.
5. Extension board for interactions with a VGA monitor, a keyboard and a mouse (developed by Manuel Almeida). Additional information is available here. Photo of the extension board is available here.
