Short biography:

 

Pedro Sá Couto is graduated in Mathematics Applied to Technology, holds a master degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto.

 

He has different roles at University of Aveiro such as Assistant Professor in Mathematics Department (DMAT), invited collaborator in School of Health Sciences (ESSUA) and in Health Sciences Department (DCM), Member of Probability and Statistics Group of the Center of Research and Development in Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA) and also Collaborator of Clinical Simulation Center (SIMULA) of University of Aveiro.

 

His current research interests are related to modelling and control of physiological systems for educational simulation, statistical analysis applied to health sciences, and new methods to improve the educational teaching process. He also participated in many papers in international scientific periodicals, communications in scientific meetings and book chapters.
