This paper describes a software tool (to be used on a teaching laboratory) implementing the Klatt synthesizer. The user interface allows an easy edition of the synthesis parameters. The student may quickly and easily change the spectral characteristics of a vowel, and listen to the synthetic speech or see its time or frequency properties.
