In April 12th a new project meeting took place in Pittsburgh, in the Information Networking Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, Professor João Paulo Cunha, Professor José Maria Fernandes, Professor João Barros and Jorge Amaral were in USA and the meeting also had the participation of the teams from IT and IEETA in Video Conference. Activity reporting of all teams was made as well as NDA issues were discussed.

Advances in the three Quick win scenarios defined in the previous meeting were presented and next steps definition took place.

A brand new prototype from IEETA team was presented and the next papers to be written were defined.

Project review was scheduled for the 20th of May.

22nd and 23rd Foruns - Coimbra and Lisboa PDF Print E-mail

In February 22nd and 2rd  the Vital Responder project was represented in the Innovation Forum on Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection (NET-SCIP) and Innovation Forum on Future Internet Services and Technologies (NET- FIT).
A live demo of VJ Sw was presented as well as a prototype of an sensor system for buildings with escape routes. The project itself was presented to all Forum participants, and also to the Portuguese Minister Science Technology and Higher Education, Mariano Gago.
It was a great opportunity to establish contacts, and present our project in an informal environment. The president of CMUpt program João Barros and other important professors of CMU were present in both of these foruns.
The project was represented by our PI João Paulo Cunha and the Researchers Fábio Marques and Vânia Santos on February 22nd and by our Project Manager Jorge Amaral and the researchers Fábio Marques and Pedro Santos on February 23rd.
