The first project meeting of 2010 took place in Porto on the 20 January.

It was a very participate meeting that had the presence of fifteen persons among them were Dra Sandra Mattos, a senior cardiologist at Real Hospital Português in Recife, Brazil and Paul Theron from Glasgow University.

Dr. Luis Meireles, CEO of Biodevices handed two VitalJackets with GPS and accelerometer to be used in the coming field tests.

An interesting discussion about the different scenarios to be addressed by the project took place at this meeting

After an interesting discussion three scenarios were identified as ‘Quick Wins’ and will be addressed in the coming months:

• A1 - Car accidents with audio annotations – Offline ECG
• B1 – Building with fire sensors and escape routes-Offline ECG
• F1 – Forest fire with audio annotation – Offline ECG

The last project meeting of 2009 took place in Aveiro on the 27th November.

Prof. João Paulo Cunha (UA-IEETA), Prof. João Barros (FEUP-IT) and Prof. Miguel Coimbra (FCUP-IT) were present. Prof João Barros is also Director of ICTI@Portugal and of the Carnegie Mellon|Portugal program in Portugal.
